WHO WE ARE
The Central Florida Commission on Homelessness is a collective-impact collaborative of nonprofit, government, business and faith leaders from across Florida’s Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. All are committed to ending homelessness through shared expertise, data-informed decision-making, best-practice development, and using our collective voice to advocate for our homeless neighbors.

WHAT WE DO
The Central Florida Commission on Homelessness was established as a nonprofit organization in 2013 to bring a unified, coordinated response to the region's growing homeless population. Its goal: to make any episode of homelessness as rare and brief as possible.
The Commission serves as the region's Continuum of Care (FL-507) — the organizing entity for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s homeless-assistance planning process, supported by the Homeless Services Network of Central Florida as the HUD-designated lead agency. The organization seeks to leverage federal, state, county and city funding to develop the most effective, humane solutions for the region's citizens who are experiencing homelessness.

How It Works
The Commission is headed by the Leadership Council — key representatives from local governments, major employers, nonprofit executives and faith leaders in the region. The CFCH Managing Board brings together leaders from provider agencies, local government department heads, people with lived experience, affordable housing operators, program managers and other stakeholders to steer operations among providers.
Our Membership
Anyone in the Central Florida community is eligible to join CFCH. The Commission’s membership is a group of individuals interested in creating, implementing and serving in a system that effectively addresses issues causing homelessness and providing support to those experiencing homelessness. The membership forms a variety of committees which provide guidance and expertise to our leadership.

Lead Agency
The Homeless Services Network of Central Florida, a 501-c-3 nonprofit organization, has been designated to provide daily facilitation, financial accountability and operational management to the Commission.
